Celebrating our 25th Year

At Bridges, we administer the North West Education Association’s (NWEA) Measuring Academic Progress (MAP) assessments in math, reading, language skills, and science three times per year.

The assessments in the MAP Suite give us a thorough picture of student learning: how much they’ve grown, what they’re ready to learn, and the specific skill gaps they need to master.

Teachers meet with students individually to set MAP goals, and students work toward those goals throughout the year using the MAP Skills program, an individualized, online curriculum designed to help students build specific skills.

Teachers use MAP assessments to track growth throughout the school year and over multiple years. They also factor into instructional group placement which may change throughout the year as needed. To best monitor and track our students’ individualized academic progress, Bridges teachers also conduct informal observational and project-based evaluations throughout the year to track student progress.

Bringing Learning Into Focus

When our students get stuck, the MAP Suite illuminates exactly what they need—helping our teachers support them in breaking through barriers and reaching their full potential.

Learning Made Visible

Our MAP system measures what students know and informs what they’re ready to learn next. By dynamically adjusting to each student’s responses, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance. Timely, easy-to-use reports help our teachers teach, our students learn, and our administrators lead.

Helping Our Students Soar

We put assessments into action by using MAP growth data to pinpoint the instructional areas our students are ready to tackle—whether they’re on, above, or below grade level.Growth over time. Our individualized MAP Growth Reports reveal how much growth has occurred between testing events and, when combined with NWEA norms, shows projected proficiency. Our teachers can track growth through the school year and over multiple years.
